Kumar Chatani. Executive Vice President and CIO of Mount Sinai Health System (New York City). As the executive vice president and CIO of Mount Sinai Health System, Mr. Chatani oversees around 1,000 employees and manages a budget of $300 million. The health system earned Hospital & Health Networks’ Health Care’s Most Wired recognition in 2017 and the HIMSS Davies Award for implementing EHR in 2012 under Mr. Chatani’s direction. Before joining Mount Sinai, Mr. Chatani served as CIO of the Northwest Region for Kaiser Permanente in Portland, Ore., overseeing IT for more than 1,000 physicians and two major hospitals. He also has experience as interim CIO for Cigna-Lovelace Health Systems in Albuquerque, N.M., and as regional vice president for IT at Cigna Healthcare of California in Glendale.
