Paul Rothman, MD. CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine (Baltimore). In addition to serving as CEO of John Hopkins Medicine, Dr. Rothman is dean of the medical faculty and vice president for medicine at The Johns Hopkins University. In these roles, he oversees both the Johns Hopkins Health System and the School of Medicine, comprising six hospitals, a self-funded health plan and hundreds of physicians. His prior appointments include chief of the pulmonary, allergy and critical care division at Columbia University in New York City and head of internal medicine at the University of Iowa’s Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, where he was also dean and leader of the college’s critical practice plan. Dr. Rothman has received awards from the Leukemia Society of America and the Pharmacia Allergy Research Foundation and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences.
