Joseph Robertson Jr., MD. President of Oregon Health and Science University (Portland). Since his appointment as president of OHSU in 2007, Dr. Robertson has expanded the organization’s connections to rural areas of Oregon with a 14-hospital telemedicine network and nearly doubled its annual operating budget to $2.06 billion, while growing the number of patients treated. Previously, he was dean of the OHSU School of Medicine, director of the Casey Eye Institute at OHSU and chair of the department of ophthalmology. A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Robertson is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Medical Association and the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology, among others.
