Donald Kearns, MD. President and CEO of Rady Children’s Hospital and Health Center (San Diego). As president and CEO of the 520-bed Rady Children’s Hospital and Health Center, Dr. Kearns oversees a facility ranked by the U.S. News & World Report as on of the country’s best in all 10 pediatric specialties. He practiced pediatric otolaryngology at Rady Children’s for more than 25 years and has been involved in numerous aspects of the hospital’s growth and development. His prior appointments include chairman of the department of surgery, surgeon-in-chief of Rady Children’s Specialists of San Diego and CMO of Rady Children’s. Dr. Kearns is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology and the American College of Physician Executives and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
