Mount Sinai Hospital was ranked as a top 10 hospital for cardiology and heart surgery in the U.S. News & World Report 2013-14 rankings. Mount Sinai’s cardiac catheterization laboratory, which is the nation’s largest, has received the highest two-star safety rating from the New York State Department of Health for its percutaneous coronary interventions overall and in non-emergency cases for the last 16 years. The hospital has also received Magnet recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center for nursing excellence.
