Chad Whelan, MD. Senior Vice President and CMO of Loyola University Health System (Maywood, Ill.). Dr. Whelan is a professor of hospital medicine at Loyola Medicine in addition to his senior vice president and CMO roles. Dr. Whelan is an associate editor of the Journal of Hospital Medicine and serves on the advisory board for the Hospital Quality Foundation. He earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis.
