What are the best online master's programs in nursing?

Today, many prospective nursing students choose to pursue a degree online due to the flexibility it provides in schedule and in terms of location.

College Choice recently published its annual ranking of best online master's programs in nursing to help people seeking to earn a nursing degree while currently employed.

"Prospective nursing students can now elect to pursue a degree online, which is extremely important for those who are already working in the field or are looking to transition from their current jobs. Online learning provides significant flexibility both in schedule and in terms of location, as one can live in one state while earning a degree in another," Katie Amondson, associate editor of the ranking, said in a prepared statement.

The College Choice list ranks schools based upon their academic score, quality of faculty, technology and support, online engagement, cost of out-of-state and part-time tuition and average pay for graduates. The data was derived from a variety of publicly available sources, including U.S. News & World Report, the National Center for Education Statistics and PayScale.com.
