14 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Owensboro (Ky.) Health named Greg Strahan president and CEO, effective immediately.

2. Cornerstone Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., named Jessica Long CEO.

3. Brownfield (Texas) Regional Medical Center CEO Mike Click announced his retirement.

4. Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance, Neb., named Lori Mazanec as interim CEO, effective immediately.

5. John Whiteside stepped into the role of interim CEO of Los Alamos (N.M.) Medical Center, a part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health.

6. Fairfield, Calif.-based NorthBay Healthcare CEO Gary Passama announced his retirement, effective in March 2017. 

7. Louisville, Ky.-based Norton Healthcare CEO Stephen A. Williams is retiring after 23 years of leading the organization.

8. Merit Health Biloxi (Miss.) named Robert Calhoun CEO.

9. Hiawatha (Kan.) Community Hospital CEO Roger Barnhart resigned, less than two months from when he began his duties.

10. Donald L. Jernigan, president and CEO of Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System, is retiring.

11. Lee Ann Liska has been named executive vice president for health affairs and CEO of Augusta (Ga.) University Medical Center.

12. The Dalles, Ore.-based Mid-Columbia Medical Center's President and CEO Duane Francis is retiring, effective Oct. 31.

13. Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System named John A. Ludwig president and CEO of HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, Ill.

14. Hammond, La.-based North Oaks Health System appointed Michele K. Sutton as its president and CEO, effective at the end of the year.
