The following hospital and health system executive moves occurred within the past week, beginning with the most recent.
1. Lincoln, Neb.-based Regional Provider Network announced Michael Hein, MD, will serve as the network's CEO beginning Dec. 1.
2. Brian Nester, MD, was named president and CEO of Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network after serving as the system's interim president and CEO since the retirement of Ronald Swinfard in July.
3. The Dallas-based Forest Park Medical Center hospital system appointed Ming Wong, MBA, as CFO for its new San Antonio (Texas) hospital and Preshie Wilson, MBA, as CFO for its new Fort Worth (Texas) hospital. Both hospitals are scheduled to open this month.
4. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA announced the appointment of Hugh Tappan, MHA, MBA, as president of HCA's South Atlantic Division, effective Jan. 1, 2015.
5. St. Louis-based Ascension Health announced the appointment of Kathy A. Young, MHSA, as president and CEO of Borgess Health, headquartered in Kalamazoo, Mich.
6. Scott Weiskittel, MPT, was named COO of Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
7. Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals appointed Rick Palagi, MHA, as CEO of Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital located in Elko, Nev., where he has been serving as interim CEO since Aug. 7.
8. Kevin Slavin, president and CEO of East Orange (N.J.) General Hospital, accepted an offer to become president and CEO of St. Joseph's Healthcare System in Paterson, N.J.
9. Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, Ill., terminated CEO Randy Dauby's contract.
10. Rosalie Tocco-Bradley, PhD, MD, was named CMO of St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor (Mich.) and St. Joseph Mercy Livingston (Mich.) hospitals, effective Dec. 1.
11. Taos (N.M.) Health Systems CFO Steven Rozenboom will assume head leadership for the system until a permanent CEO is recruited.
12. The Massena (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital Board of Managers named Robert G. Wolleben as CEO of the hospital, effective Dec. 15.
