Taos Health Systems began recruiting a new CEO in July after Peter Hofstetter, the system’s former chief executive, left. Following the departure of the system’s first interim CEO Phil Lowe in September, a second interim CEO who arrived in early October left his position due to difficulty adjusting to the high altitude, according to the system board members.

At least one CEO candidate is expected to visit Taos this week, according to the report.
