10 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Parkridge Health System President and CEO Darrell Moore is retiring, after serving at the helm of health system since 2006.

2. Ocean Beach Hospital in Ilwaco, Wash., dropped the "interim" from current CEO Larry Cohen's title.

3. Boone, N.C.-based Appalachian Regional Healthcare System CEO Richard Sparks is retiring, effective Jan. 27, 2017.

4. Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., named James Diegel CEO, effective Oct. 1.

5. Gallipolis, Ohio-based Holzer Health System terminated the tenure of current CEO Christopher Meyer, DO.

6. Hospital Corporation of America's Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., appointed Scott Cihak CEO, effective Nov. 28.

7. Charleston, S.C.-based Roper St. Francis tapped Lorraine Lutton to serve as its next president and CEO — the first woman to lead the private, nonprofit, three-hospital system.

8. Fairfield, Calif.-based NorthBay Healthcare appointed Konard Jones CEO.

9. Matt Maxfield, the CEO of Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (Texas), is leaving, effective Nov. 1.

10. Deckerville (Mich.) Community Hospital appointed Angela McConnachie, MSN, BSN, RN, CEO, effective Oct. 1.
