The DC Blockchain Summit 2017 will take place in Washington, D.C., on March 15 and March 16, 2017.
Here are five things to know about the event:
1. The summit, hosted by the Chamber of Digital Commerce together with Washington, D.C.-based Georgetown University's Center for Financial Markets and Policy, aims to bring together government, financial services, healthcare, technology and insurance leaders to further blockchain technology adoption.
2. There will be a 'fireside chat' with U.S. Representatives Jared Polis, I-Colo., and David Schweikert, R-Ariz., co-chairs of the Blockchain Caucus.
3. Prior to the summit, the Chamber of Digital Commerce and ONC are co-hosting the "Blockchain in Healthcare Code-A-Thon."
4. The code-a-thon will includes challenges to develop healthcare solutions using open source ledger technology.
5. Chicago-based Accenture is the title sponsor of the summit.
