The Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center's new, 377,000-square-foot building will open its doors to patients on Monday, March 6.
The seven-story, $276 million building will handle all outpatient cancer treatment services. It is organized by cancer type — so all clinical and treatment areas for breast cancer are together on the same floor, for instance.
The new building will replace the existing Taussig Cancer Institute building. Outpatient services there will end March 3 and start up in the new building on March 6.
"Every aspect of Cleveland Clinic's new cancer center was designed with the patient in mind to provide the best clinical outcomes and patient experience," said Toby Cosgrove, MD, president and CEO of Cleveland Clinic. "Further, it will foster greater collaboration, communication and research among physicians and care providers in the fight against cancer."
