Steward Health Care to host job fairs to fill over 200 openings

Steward Health Care System, a Dallas-based for-profit hospital chain, will host job fairs at Youngstown, Ohio-based Northside Regional Medical Center to fill more than 200 positions at its facilities, according to The Vindicator.

The Aug. 23 and Sept. 6 job fairs are solely for employees of Northside Regional, which is slated to close Sept. 20.

Steward spokesperson Trish Hrina told The Vindicator the events are "to work with Northside employees to help them transition to other sites or pursue other medical jobs within the region.

"There are also hundreds of open healthcare jobs within this market, and Steward is already working with area employers to help Northside employees find new positions."

Job openings are at Trumbull Regional Medical Center and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital, both in Warren, Ohio, as well as Sharon (Pa.) Regional Medical Center. Ms. Hrina said there are also openings at Steward medical practices in Ohio.

Additionally, Steward has invited other healthcare employers to participate in the job fairs.
