Adventist Health seeks staff ahead of California hospital reopening

Interim administrators are looking to staff Tulare (Calif.) Regional Medical Center, which closed in October 2017 and is expected to reopen this October under Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, according to a Visalia Times-Delta report.

Adventist has posted various Tulare job openings online, including technologist, laboratory assistant and nursing positions. As of Aug. 15, there were 127 job listings matching a search for "Tulare."

Many former Tulare staff members have found other jobs at surrounding hospitals since Tulare closed, according to the report. Now that the hospital is slated to reopen, Melinda Morales Righi, Adventist Health's communications manager, told the Visalia Times-Delta former Tulare workers will be given priority.

"Priority is being given to former employees of Tulare Regional Medical Center because their intimate knowledge and experience with the hospital will ease the transition and speed the reopening," she said. "They are encouraged to apply for any position for which they qualify."
