Massachusetts hospitals with COVID-19 vaccination requirements are preparing to lose hundreds of workers who fail to comply, according to The Boston Globe.

Amid staffing shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals and health systems have rolled out various initiatives related to attracting and retaining healthcare workers.

Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia said the hospital is mourning a colleague who died Oct. 4 during a shooting at the facility.

While hospitals around Washington are reporting high staff vaccination rates, healthcare leaders are still concerned about understaffed facilities being overwhelmed as flu season kicks off, according to an Oct. 4 Seattle Times report.
