Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe signed HB 567 on July 10, repealing the state’s paid sick leave mandate.

The measure retains Missouri’s $15-per-hour minimum wage law, according to a July 10 news release from the governor’s office.

In November, voters approved Proposition A, which required employers to provide paid sick leave beginning May 1. The Missouri Supreme Court upheld the mandate April 29.

Voters in Alaska and Nebraska also approved ballot measures mandating paid sick leave. Lawmakers in both states have since introduced legislation to modify those measures.
