Ambulatory healthcare services showed the most employment growth in the industry last month, adding 14,800 jobs. Hospitals came next, adding 12,400 jobs in December compared with the 2,200 jobs hospitals added in November.
Overall, healthcare added 300,000 jobs in 2017, down from the 379,000 healthcare jobs added the year prior, according to the BLS.
