The December count is a decrease from November, when healthcare added 45,200 jobs.
Last month’s job growth was mostly in ambulatory healthcare services, which added 23,100 jobs.
Overall, healthcare added 399,000 jobs in 2019, compared with a 350,000 boost the year prior, according to the bureau.
