Kaleida Health, 3 Unions Reach Tentative Agreement

Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health has reached a tentative contract agreement with its three major unions, according to a report by The Buffalo News.

The agreement announcement comes about two weeks after the system's more than 7,000 unionized workers voted to authorize a strike. The workers are represented by three unions: Communication Workers of America, 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East and the International Union of Operating Engineers.

The three-year contract agreement was reached once the two parties came to terms on health insurance and wage issues, according to The Buffalo News. The vote to ratify the agreement is expected to occur in July.
