Grinnell Regional Medical Center Eliminates 41 Positions

Grinnell (Iowa) Regional Medical Center has eliminated 41 positions, resulting in 23 layoffs, according to a Tama Toledo News report.

In addition to the workforce reduction, GRMC has offered 11 additional employees alternative roles at the hospital, according to the report.

The workforce reduction and restructuring at GRMC were made necessary because of reduced Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements as well as lower admissions and growing charity care costs, according to the report.
