The 650 RNs represented by the Health Professionals and Allied Employees union approved the contract settlement two weeks ahead of the contract expiration date of May 31.
Here are three things to know about the contract.
1. The contract guarantees a 3 percent raise over three years and step increases of about 1.5 percent per year.
2. The contract calls for eight new full-time nurse positions.
3. The contract calls for joint commitment between RNs and administration “to review and implement staffing acuity systems,” and “to improve communication and participation in the joint nursing practice council and continuing education programs,” according to the union.
