The 60,000-square-foot medical office building will house physician offices and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2013. The 101,000-square-foot outpatient center will contain an emergency department, outpatient surgery and diagnostic imaging and is expected to be completed in late 2013.

This construction will mark the first phase of a project that will create Wake Forest Baptist Health-West Campus. The second phase will build hospital beds and is scheduled to be completed in 2017. When the hospital beds are open, Wake Forest Baptist will close Davie County Hospital in Mocksville, N.C., and its employees will move to either the new hospital or a different location within the health system.
