Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Winston-Salem, N.C.). Wake Forest’s Comprehensive Cancer Center was accredited by the National Cancer Institute in 1990, and the hospital was recognized among the best cancer centers in the country and the best in North Carolina by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16. It was the first cancer center in the region to receive full accreditation by the American College of Surgeons National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancers and currently offers patients access to approximately 200 clinical trials.
