Vanderbilt University Medical Center (Nashville, Tenn.). The Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center is one of only two programs in the state to be designated a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. It is also affiliated with the nonprofit National Comprehensive Cancer Network and is ranked No. 1 in the state for cancer care and among the top 50 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16. The center boasts a total research base of over $155 million in funding from private and public sources, is among the top 10 cancer centers nationwide for research grant support and is a Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers.
