University of Texas Medical Branch Opens Cancer Center

Galveston-based University of Texas Medical Branch has opened a new cancer center at the Specialty Care Center at Victory Lakes in League City, Texas, according to a Daily News report.

The cancer center brings different UTMB cancer specialists, such as surgeons, radiation oncologists and medical oncologists, together in one location.

The facility includes screening/surveillance programs, outpatient treatments, an infusion center for chemotherapy and a new tomotherapy unit.
