The new 16-bed unit offers private rooms, 24-hour visitation and a new outpatient infusion center, which is expected to open later this summer.
OVMC has also expanded its oncology services by creating the role of oncology nurse navigator. Shawn Ware, RN, who currently services as a breast care navigator at OVMC’s Center for Breast Care, will expand her role to coordinate care for patients with all types of cancers.
