University of Kansas Hospital was named one of the best hospitals in cardiology and heart surgery for 2014-2015 by U.S. News & World Report. It is accredited by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is also accredited as a Lifeline Heart Attack Receiving Center by the American Heart Association. University of Kansas Hospital is also designated a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction Center Plus for cardiac care and as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
