UNC Healthcare Completes Phase 1 of More Than $200M Campus

Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Healthcare announced that it has completed construction of the first phase of its new campus in Hillsborough, N.C., estimated to cost more than $200 million, according to a report by The Daily Tar Heel.

The first phase features a 60,000-square-foot medical office building and a 15,000-square-foot central utility area.

When complete, the campus will include 68 patient rooms, several operating rooms, intensive care units, radiology units and an emergency department, according to the report.

Construction of the campus began in April 2011.
