As part of the surgery modernization project, the building that currently houses the hospital’s surgery services will be replaced with a new wing. The new surgery wing will include 16 operating rooms, a pharmacy and a sterilization unit.
As part of the renovation, four floors of the eight-floor tower will be updated. It will include the conversion of all patient rooms to private ones.
Construction is expected to be completed by 2014, according to the report.
