The expansion plan calls for a 190-plus bed patient tower, an expanded and renovated emergency department and construction of a proton radiation therapy building. Another key component of the project is closing the Lucerne Pavilion and transferring in-patient care to the main hospital. Hospital officials said this consolidation will result in improved patient care, efficiency and cost-savings.
Groundbreaking is expected to take place next year.
