United Airlines is now offering three flights to Rochester each day, departing from Chicago at 5:35 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2:03 p.m. The flights will begin on June 8, 2017. These new flights will “provide 150 new departing seats per day,” John Reed, Rochester International Airport’s executive director, told the Star Tribune.
United’s new flights to Rochester are part of a service expansion in the United States and Europe, which the company announced on Feb. 27, 2017.
Other domestic airline carriers, namely Delta and American Airlines, already provide daily flights to Rochester International Airport. Together, with United, the three companies will offer a total of 11 flights to Rochester, home to the prestigious Mayo Clinic.
“This exciting announcement opens the door to additional one-stop connections making travel to Rochester more convenient for our patients and visitors,” said John T. Wald, medical director of marketing for Mayo Clinic, according to the report.
