New Memory Care Program Begins at University of Rochester in New York

The University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center announced the opening of the Memory Care Program to treat patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other causes of progressive memory loss.

The program offers evaluations, guidance on medications, coping strategies and education on support resources for patients and families. The program will also collaborate with the Alzheimer Association and other local organizations to enhance support services in the community.

A multidisciplinary team staffs the program, including specialists in neurology, psychiatry, geriatrics, neuropsychology, social work, nursing and marriage and family therapy.
