New Hospital to Be Built in Georgia

Ty Cobb Healthcare System and NGTC Health Properties have joined together to build a $52 million hospital in Lavonia, Ga., according to a report in the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The new, 56-bed Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center will replace two hospitals in the region — Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston, Ga., and Hart County Hospital in Hartwell, Ga.

The hospital is expected to open in 2011.
