The hospital received anonymous threats June 29 and July 2. Police continue to investigate both threats.

Officials reportedly have not found evidence linking the two threats and are conducting separate investigations into both incidents.

The July 2 threat was sent via email to 7News Miami and subsequently forwarded to the police. The television station reportedly received a second threat via email later the same day that included additional hospitals along with Jackson Memorial.

Police reportedly detained and questioned one individual following the June 29 threat made from inside the hospital, according to the report.
