Mayo Clinic Partnership Boosts Efforts in Medical Research

Mayo Clinic has entered into a new agreement with the Hormel Foundation and the University of Minnesota that would expand the Hormel Institute and establish the Mayo Clinic Hormel Institute in Austin, Minn.

Through this partnership, Mayo Clinic and University of Minnesota Hormel Institute researchers hope to expand upon an already existing collaboration on biomedical research that began in 2006. The collaboration focuses on improving the health and wellbeing of individuals and advancing the understanding of disease and disease processes.
