Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, has agreed to sell its facility to Catholic Healthcare Partners’ Mercy Health System for approximately $180 million, according to a report by the News Record.

The hospital is the second to leave Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati in the past two months. In August, Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio, announced that it would withdraw from the alliance.

Under Health Alliance contracts, the alliance will dissolve if two or more hospitals withdraw within a six-month period, according to the report. Currently, University Hospital, West Chester Medical Center, Alliance Primary Care and the Drake Center within the Health Alliance remain part of Health Alliance.

A formal announcement of the dissolution has not been made, but a representative of the University of Cincinnati said that a dissolution would harm healthcare services in the community, according to the report.
