Harper University Hospital (Detroit). Harper University Hospital, part of Detroit Medical Center, was ranked the No. 45 hospital in the nation for neurology and neurosurgery by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16. Additionally, the hospital earned Healthgrades’ Neurosurgery Excellence Award for the first time in 2016. DMC neurosurgeons treat a range of brain, spinal cord and nerve conditions. According to DMC, no other health system in the state offers more advanced neurosurgery options.
