The agreement entails only research, and the two entities will remain independently owned and operated under terms of the agreement, according to the report. Clemson has collaborated with GHS on biomedical research since 1990.
Research under the partnership will center on “applied or translational science.” Topics include operational efficiency through telemedicine and improved workflows and delivery models, engaging patients and designing rehabilitation tools, conducting clinical trials for cancer treatments and diagnostics and developing new medical devices and technology.
