Federation of State Medical Boards Receives HRSA Funds for Ongoing Projects

The Federation of State Medical Boards has been awarded a three-year grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration to continue initiatives to streamline the state medical licensure process and reduce barriers to telemedicine.

Specifically, the grant will go toward the Uniform Application, which streamlines the licensure process with online applications; the Federation Credentials Verification Service, which encourage license portability; and ongoing efforts to reduce statutory and regulatory barriers to multi-state practice.
