Crenshaw Community Hospital to Close Maternity Ward

Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne, Ala., will stop delivering babies effective July 3, according to a WAKA report.

The hospital’s CEO, Brad Eiseman, said the end of obstetrics services is due to financial pressure from sequestration and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, according to the report.
