Clinical Trial Finds Medline Skin Cream Produces Highest Moisture Change

In a comparative study in the Journal of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing evaluating the effect of four different topical creams on skin hydration level, Mundelein, Ill.-based Medline’s Phytoplex Nourishing Skin Cream produced a higher rate of moisture change than the other three skin creams and the placebo, according to the company.

“Clinicians and caregivers consider a number of factors when it comes to how best to hydrate and moisturize skin, especially for those at risk for skin breakdown,” said Debashish Chakravarthy, PhD, co-author of the study and vice president of clinical and technical strategy of Medline’s skin and wound care division.
