The company has added opaque tubes and uncuffed precut tubes to its portfolio. The opaque tubes allow greater visibility of the vocal chords during intubation, and the uncuffed tubes are designed to reduce trauma to the tracheal wall during intubation.
To its current products, Cardinal Health has enlarged the font on tubes to make them easier to read, designed a new connector for an easier grip, added hooded tips to all tubes to reduce potential trauma and added a more versatile cuff size so tubes are more able to match other products in the market.
