Teleflex Recalls ISIS HVT Tracheal Tube

Research Triangle Park, N.C.-based Teleflex Medical has recalled certain lots of its ISIS HVT Tracheal Tube Cuffed with Subglottic Secretion Suction Port due to potential malfunctions during use.

The tracheal tube may kink, prohibiting proper ventilation for a patient, which could lead to hypoxic injury or death.

Teleflex has sent notices to customers potentially affected by the recall, asking them to discontinue use and return any products that may be faulty.
