Cincinnati’s Deaconess Hospital Plans to Close ED

Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati plans to close its ED in January, according to a report by the Cincinnati Business Journal.

The 273-bed non-profit hospital has been in the red for several years, been seeking an affiliation partner or buyer and had several responses to RFPs but no agreements yet.

The hospital laid off about 50 people and closed its surgical weight loss center in June.
