The nonprofit hospital, part of Boston-based Partners HealthCare, is considering a collaboration to build a hospital in China with “real estate billionaire” Hui Ka Yan and his company, Evergrande Real Estate Group, according to the report. The facility would be located in either Guangzhou or Shenzhen.

Evergrande began seeking a partnership with Brigham and Women’s in November because of the hospital’s commitment to global health, hospital spokesperson Erin McDonough said in the report.

Under the deal, Brigham and Women’s would be the first Harvard University-affiliated hospital to expand to China.
