Apple’s next big move may be high-end headphones

Apple is said to be expanding upon the success of its bluetooth-enable, wireless AirPods earbuds by developing wireless over-the-ear headphones, according to Fortune.

Apple originally planned to release the headphones in 2018 but encountered some hurdles in product development. The new offerings would compete with the high-end Beats by Dre headphones, which Apple bought in 2014 for $3 billion.

The wireless headphones have not yet been priced, but they are expected to be expensive.
