Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Board Approves $425M in Grantmaking

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s board has approved up to $425 million in grantmaking next year in three major areas.

The grants will focus on:

•    Increasing efforts that help people stay healthy
•    Lowering national healthcare costs
•    Improving access to high-quality care delivered by a diverse and abundant workforce

Grantmaking last year has included initiatives for chronic care in rural areas, quality improvement, postdoctoral healthcare training, population health and obesity. Since its inception in 1972, the foundation has awarded more than $9 billion in grants.
