Carenet Healthcare Services, a provider of healthcare engagement services and virtual care, acquired the nurse advice line services of HGS AxisPoint Health, which offers care management and analytics services.
The acquisition supplements Carenet's existing telehealth and 24/7 nurse triage infrastructure. Carenet currently serves 75-plus health plans and supports more than 50 million lives across the country. The company offers support via its engagement specialists, care coordinators and registered nurses.
"Consumers are getting more comfortable interacting via virtual channels. And with that, the priority surrounding telehealth offerings will continue to increase in importance across the payer-provider spectrum. This acquisition further ensures we're even more prepared for what's to come," said Carenet President Mick Mazour.
