Health Navigator, a health information company, entered into a partnership with Tyto Care, a telehealth company focused on providing virtual home examination and diagnosis solutions.
Health Navigator's symptom checker solution provides clinical content for digital health and telemedicine applications. It is an inference engine that factors in age, gender, known medical problems and a slew of clinical factors to generate a list of possible causes and triage recommendations for a specific symptom. The solution leverages a structured database and acts as a digital health assistant for patients.
Per the partnership, the symptom checker will be integrated into the Tyto Care's telehealth platform, which includes a hand-held modular tool for examining the heart, lungs, skin, throat, ears and body temperature. The Tyto platform also includes a cloud-based data repository with analytics and machine learning algorithms.
The integration of the symptom checker with the Tyto platform also aims to enhance the quality of symptom data and patient history information for medical examinations conducted using the Tyto platform.
